So I've been cooking at home since I retired from work...
Trying to see if I would be great in the kitchen too lol.

This is my second attempt in preparing the  Prawn in Spicy Gravy, and like the 1st attempt, it turned out perfect! Happiness :)

Dish 1: Prawn in Spicy Gravy

Ingredients:
- 600gm medium sized prawns, shelled
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1-2 stalks of lemongrass, crushed
- 4 cloves garlic (all in Italics - pounded)
- 3/4 medium sized onion
- 1.5cm piece ginger
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper powder
- 1 medium sized red chili (roll out the seeds)
- Tamarind juice
- 1/4 thickly sliced onion
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp sugar (I use brown sugar)

Directions:
Heat oil in pan. Fry pounded ingredients till fragrant.
Add in lemongrass and onion.
Add in chili powder, and then tamarind juice.
Next, sugar and salt.
Lastly the prawns.

The dish turns out with thick spicy gravy.
Mom was saying how usually the prawns would water and spoil the dish so I was already half expecting it to fail. But voila, just nice! If you like it spicier, add more chili powder / cayenne pepper.

Dish 2: French Beans with Roasted Pork

Ingredients:
- Half a cup of roasted pork (or more)
- Onions
- Garlic
- French beans

Directions:
Heat oil in pan.
Saute roasted pork and onion, season with some oyster sauce.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Saute garlic and french beans till cooked (we like it softer)
Add in the roasted pork and fry for another minute.

Dish 3 was the leftover from yesterday's early dinner. I don't know what is it called, but it has anchovies, long beans, tofu, peanuts and chili. Yums!

I've been amping up my physical activities lately especially recent few days. Hence my metabolic rate kinda shot up as well lol.

Woke up feeling really sore from yesterday's leg and booty workout. Feels great but made me lazy too.

Had half a serving of rice for dinner so by 10pm I was a wee bit empty lol. Must be the after dinner table tennis session.

I whipped this snack up from 4 tbsp greek yoghurt, a squirt of honey and a handful of blueberries, grapes and mulberries. What can I say?

Yummiest late night snack!

Yummy.. this is a repurchase so you know I really like it.

It is frothy and rich. Best of all not too sweet. Just nice consistency, makes a great cup per sachet.

I usually crave for this after dinner at home; or when it rains its perfect to be accompanied by a good book.

RM8.99 for 5 sachets. Got this from Cold Storage. I first bought it from Sam's Groceria but I don't remember how much..

I was at Chatuchak when there was a group if youth handing out these gums for free. Looks good to me with anything pineapple :)

Turned out it is really yummy. Not the fake fruit taste so its all good.

The joys of going for holidays... getting to try different yummy food and drinks.

This medium sized bottle caught my eyes so I skipped my usual veggie drinks for this. Boy I did the right thing. I love this chocolate milk. So thick and delish.

I've just had a spicy tom yum noodle and this chocolate milk did make the burn  go away. Perfect.

Since I am nursing a cold, I figured it isn't a great idea to eat out. Decided to cook porridge instead.

Rummaging thru my fridge I decided to try something different.  Instead of just plain chicken porridge I'd add some niu pang for some fiber..

Also it adds sweetness to the porridge. Turned out great.. love it :)
