I haven't been into a candy store for ages.
Was having some serious cravings for preserved plums, so after dinner I was determined to wander into a candy shop. Well I didn't manage to find the plums I want.

As I was making my last round, I saw these! Cola flavoured wrigglies!
Been ages since I last had one... I have to buy some :D

I couldn't stop chewing on these.. sourish and sweet, so juicy.
*note to self - this is not healthy!

Usually on Wednesday nights, The Fiance would be nagging me what to eat for dinner. You must eat! Don't starve *bla bla bla*

If I may be honest, I really just want some light broth or fruit juice. Well I have the whole night to myself, I'd love not having to cook or have something that would potentially make me bloat. Its not gonna happen.. The Fiance believes in real solid food, sigh.

So on random Wed evening, sometimes he would buy these for me.
And I usually won't complain lol. In fact I love these! Dumpling and "chai kueh"  (filled with savoury mengkuang).

So what about having a heavy meal and feel bloated afterwards?
Easy - wash it down with a cup of vinegar drink. :)

Burrrrps....

Whoopsie, another miracle cleansing product?
This is a freebie from a magazine purchase. Since it says that it works in 8 hours time, I'm assuming this is a laxative. So better test it on a weekend hehe.

The sachet contains 10g of products.
Advised to mix with cold water, and best taken on an empty stomach.

I used this with my favourite shaker, mixed it with plain water.
Green in colour, and smells fruity. A little sweet, but nothing intolerable.

I couldn't find any info from their website, all they have was on FirmUp. I checked their Facebook page, and yep - it is a laxative. Inner D'Tox is just a fancy name.. like makeup :P We all know constipation causes dull skin, headache and all sorts of problem. And that eating sufficient veggies and fruits is the best way to fix this. But yada yada, how many actually eat healthy?

This is my 5th hour and nothing happened haha. I don't have chronic constipation, so I don't know what to expect from this...

I'm probably not going to purchase this, as I read too much laxative products screws your natural bowel movements..

They have a trial pack of 7's at RM38, and value pack of 28's at RM96.

Two weeks back, a friend casually came up to my desk; asking if I was busy. And being my usual self - I was, very! But I thought she sounded a lil not so herself. So I stopped my work a mo, and asked what was going on.

She earlier went for a checkup.. and found a 7cm growth some where near the womb? Or the F tubes?

I froze for a moment.. and after our conversation, I can't help but to wonder - life is so fragile. Out of a sudden.. no pain no nothing, you detect some growth or funny tumors in you.

I knew how risky it could be.. it could be cancer! And my dad had cancer, he lost the battle.

Nah my friend got a second opinion and was hoping her next menstruation would flush it out. But I am wondering... what am I doing to prevent this from happening?

My lifestyle, needs a revamp. I need quality sleep, quality food, and exercise.
I could start with getting back to my juicing habits.

Here is one of my so called anti cancer juice.
I usually have 3 glasses, and varies them by adding either vinegar, raspberry syrup or honey.

Ingredients:
- Brocolli
- Cucumber
- Celery
- Tomato
- Carrot
- Papaya
- Juvo 1 scoop
- Collagen 1 tsp

The original mix of the above is somewhat bland and sweet. So some may not like the taste.

Try it with some vinegar, raspberry syrup or Ribena :)

What do I do when I feel really lazy, tired and moodless?
Lie on the couch and play Doodle Jewels of course...

And then drag my ass to the kitchen and blend something healthy for myself.
I've been eating alot of crap lately, that explains the lethargic feeling..

So this is what I've been drinking for the past 2-3 nights:
My energy and beauty elixir.

Ingredients:
~ Banana
~ Grapes
~ Mulberries
~ Apple
~ One cup of water
~ 1 Tbsp of raspberry syrup, organic
~ 1 Tsp of collagen powder

I tell ya, it is yummy! And I wake up feeling good.

Did you notice that recently there is a milk powder ad running on how much sugar is in our milk powder? One of the ingredient they highlighted was corn syrup, if not mistaken.

And I was thinking, whoa they'd do anything just to promote their new milk products.. so what happens to those who drank the existing ones? Dead?

But wait.. I then came across an article focusing on how nasty corn syrup can be. We're talking about chemicals here..

Caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, alpha-amylase, gluco-amylase, isomerase, filter aid, powdered carbon, calcium chloride and magnesium sulfate.

Annnd, to create corn syrup, you need an ingredient called Hydrochloric acid, which has traces of mercury! We all know how harmful is mercury, right?!?!
Potential link to brain damage, heart disease..

I say.. start reading labels! For our health..

Almonds
They are high in Vitamin B6, this helps with PMS.
Contain calcium that could prevent osteoporosis.
Packed with magnesium that has calming effect and balances blood pressure.

Sweet Peppers
Contain more Vitamin C than oranges, and are used to form collagen in the skin. Collagen helps to improve elasticity. Cool!

Onions
A good source of Vitamin C and fibre.
Packed with folic acid, more than garlic!

Great source of heart healthy Omega 3 fatty acids and fibre.

Anything for collagen! :P

No more special occassion to start anything special! Everyday is special :)

I'm pretty excited to try out Juvo to see if I can stand the "green taste" hehe.
But what is Juvo? And what attracts me to it?

1. JUVO is a plant-based vegetarian meal: Organic whole grains, vegetables, sea vegetables and mushrooms make up the premium vegetarian ingredient list.

2. JUVO is a living and uncooked vegetarian food: Over 25 natural ingredients are freeze-dried to protect essential nutrients and retain freshness.

3. JUVO is a complete whole food meal, full of nutrition but low-calorie: Perfect for weight loss in a healthy natural way.

Sounds sooo perfect. I know best is if you eat fresh food. But I know for sure I dont have time to cook. (maybe too lazy hehe)

For the above, I took it with a juice recipe (my own).
I blended:
- Red apple
- Pear
- Blueberries
- 2 Sunsweet prunes
- 1 Lemon cube
- 2 tbsp of Juvo.
- Half cup of water

This blend gave me about 2.5 cups of fibre rich juice. So yummy!
Something that I will do again and again, but maybe change some fruits for a different kick :)

I don't find the Juvo awful or smelly. Slightly green smell, and taste a little like wheatgrass. But once you mix it into juice, you wont even notice it.

A good buy I'd say.
Price is RM160. (hefty heh?) from Justlife shops.
I got it on a 20% discount :)

Got this at my local Tesco, and whats more likeable is the price - RM5.59!

It's Saturday afternoon again! Meaning me time..
Let's enjoy a cup of peppermint tea, shall we?
After a meaty dim sum brunch, let's lend a helping hand to the digestive system..

Oh, did you know it also contains B vitamins, calcium, potassium and it prevents gallstones?

Twinings Says:
Made with 100% pure peppermint, you'll experience an uplifting and refreshing naturally caffeine free herbal tea.

Peppermint is renowned for its refreshing properties. The plant is native to the Mediterranean and Asia, but today, peppermint is grown in temperate regions around the world. Twinings Pure Peppermint Herbal Tea is made from 100% select peppermint leaves and is naturally caffeine free. Enjoy either hot or iced for an uplifting and refreshing herbal tea experience.

Foxy Frangipani Says:
This is a rather mild infusion.
Smells really minty and strong, but surprisingly when sipped I don't find it cooling / minty...

First infusion of 5 mins steeping gave me very dark cup of tea... Mmmm nice and soothing. Second infusion is just as strong... It gets thinner after the 3rd :)

I like that it is caffeine free :)
Have you tried this?

I bought these during my Taiwan trip back in October last year (whoa, "last year" already!)

It comes in a medium sized plastic container, and the pic above is the remaining 1/3.. Very crunchy, and not too sweet. Pleasant for afternoon snack.

Made of white and black sesame, imagine the goodness it does to my hair!
